Centre for Sexuality is a nationally recognized, community-based organization delivering programs and services that work to normalize sexuality and sexual health across the lifespan. We have been leading the way in the areas of sexuality, healthy relationships, human rights, gender identity, sexual orientation, equality and consent for more than 40 years in the Calgary community. 



The Educator is responsible for the delivery of the relationship and sexual health curriculum within the school system and in community. This is a one-year contract position with the possibility of extension and reports directly to the Education Programs Manager.


 Reporting to the Education Programs Manager, key responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:


  • Facilitates relationship and sexual health programs in schools primarily, and will support community outreach programs when possible
  • Participate in community development activities to build program profile and maintain relationships with key community stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with community partners.
  • Provide input on and complete program evaluations.
  • Engage in continuous program improvement.
  • Participate in agency and community collaborations, initiatives, and activities.
  • Participate in regular performance planning and review.


Desired qualifications include:


  • A combination of relevant experiences and related human services educational background.
  • Proven group facilitation experience.
  • Ability and comfort working with diverse populations of youth and adults.
  • Knowledge of and comfort with sexuality and sexual health issues
  • Pro-choice philosophy.
  • Commitment to anti-oppressive practices.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with community partners.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced team environment.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Must have access to a reliable vehicle and can work flexible hours.
