McMan Youth, Family and Community Services is looking for a Supervisor for the Foster Care Program. The successful candidate is a highly competent team player who will provide oversight and support to the Foster Care team for the case management and quality care of infant, children and youth placed in McMan foster homes. The candidate is responsible for the recruitment, assessment and training of foster parents and ensuring care is aligned with legislation, licensing standards, organizational policies, and practice that reinforces both a trauma informed approach and a focus on strengthening natural supports. The candidate will manage all operational and administrative functions that support the program including; financial management, outcomes and reporting, performance management and program development in accordance with agency values, mission and strategic direction.

The supervisor will be a leader who can meet the challenge of working with a collaborative team and who can be a vital liaison with foster parents as well as with Children Services staff, supervisors and managers. This position will require strong competencies in the areas of adaptive leadership, program development, communication and advocacy. This position will also be required to facilitate training at both a program and organizational level. The successful candidate will work cooperatively within a team to lead coordinators in providing comprehensive casework and support services for children and families involved in the foster care system.

The successful candidate will have:

• Degree /diploma in Human Services and a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
• Strong understanding and knowledge of the Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Act, Children’s Services and experience navigating within systems
• Experience and understanding of diverse family and cultural values and traditions
• Experience in the area of Foster care and/or kinship care
• SAFE trained (Home assessments) and ideally certified as both a writer and a supervisor
• Previous program delivery experience in a similar program environment
• Competencies related to hiring, training, evaluating, motivating and coaching with relation to developing both a successful and competent staff team and quality foster parents
• Strong interpersonal and counseling skills, program planning & administrative abilities are required
• Exemplary decision making, mediation, crisis management and conflict resolution skills
• Solid competency in the area or organizational agility and personal leadership skills
• All applicants must have a current Police and Child Welfare check

Salary Range: $63,304 - $70,338
