We currently have a contract full-time,  position available in our Administrative Office in SW Calgary. As a Learning & Development Designer, you will report to the Manager of Learning and Development, and be responsible to support the implementation of Silvera’s learning and development program through multimedia design and development.

 Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, review and revise interactive and engaging e-learning material while understanding the intended audience.
  • Create graphic design elements, posters, infographics etc.
  • Work with various subject matter experts to create e-learning courses.
  • Work with Learning Management System (LMS) platform to load and test e-learning courses.
  • Provide backup for the Training Assistant responsible for the administration of Silvera’s LMS (The Learning Centre) as first-response support to staff.

 Desired qualifications:

  • 3-5 years developing and maintaining e-learning material.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in adult learning, educational technology, course design, or related field
  • Proficient in building learning objects (simulations, interactive activities) using Articulate 360.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite tools.
  • Ability to collaborate and work seamlessly with all levels of staff and management to enhance staff development and increase engagement.
  • Ability to be organized, flexible while managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles, best practices, tools, and technologies to assist in designing and delivering e-learning content.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
