The Position – Family Therapist

Wilderness Treatment at Base Camp is a 10 bed voluntary youth addictions treatment program.

The primary duty for the Family Therapists is to direct the therapeutic values of the program in accordance with program goals, agency directives, policies and procedures so as to ensure an integrated, effective and quality service provided to youth and families. The Family Therapist provides direct client therapy and family therapy alongside Alberta Health Services Addiction Counsellors.

It is important to understand that this position resides in a remote setting with comfortable accommodations and meals provided on a 3 x 12 hour shift basis with 4 days off.  A remote living allowance is provided.

 

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Psychology or Social Work as well as current registration with the respective governing association. A portion of clinical supervision fees are supported by Enviros. At least two years counselling background in adolescent and group therapy as well as work in a multi-disciplinary team is required. As well, you have the ability to respond to dynamic circumstances and also be willing to contribute to a community living environment.
