HomeFront is a collaborative community justice initiative bringing together law enforcement, justice, and community services to create a coordinated response which breaks the cycle of domestic violence for victims and offenders. HomeFront is seeking a Director of Fund Development, to strengthen our financial stability by establishing and implementing diverse fund-raising initiatives through relationship building and innovative fund-raising strategies. Working as an Executive Team member and an active participant in strategic decisions with the Executive Director, the Board of Directors Fund Development Committee and the Fund Development Team, the incumbent will be responsible for all activities related to the cultivation, solicitation, recognition and stewardship of annual gifts, major gifts, planned giving and related donor activities for HomeFront.

The Successful Candidate:

The successful candidate will possess progressive leadership experience at the Senior or Executive level in Fundraising, Marketing, Communications and/or Government Relations. Passionate about not for profit causes and their unique fund development requirements, with the ability to find creative solutions. This individual will have proven success developing and executing fund development strategies and a track record of meeting development goals; expanding and cultivating donor, government and community partner relationships. The successful candidate will champion sustained teamwork and organization wide collaboration that will allow HomeFront to grow the total funds raised annually for client care and community response.

The role requires a highly organized and goal driven individual, and the incumbentwill have the ability to organize, motivate and work constructively with boardmembers, staff and volunteers. In-tune with the needs of the agency andstakeholders, the ideal candidate will be open to new ideas and collaborativeinitiatives that support not only HomeFront but also the larger community responseto the prevention of domestic violence.

Employment Information:

Duration: This is a full time employment opportunity.

Salary and vacation: is negotiable and dependent upon experience level andeducation.

Scope: This position works with the Fund Development team and the Board of Directors Fund Development Committee.

Credentials Required: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, Membership with AFP,CFRE designation an asset.

Experience: Demonstrated success in major gifting, minimum 10 years' experience asa fundraising professional, and experience working in a collaborative environment.
