POSITION SUMMARY: The Chef is responsible for ensuring food preparation and delivery to AARC clients, families and employees are nutritious, balanced and promote healthy living. This includes the cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen, storage areas and food delivery equipment and facilities.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of all meals for the AARC program according to the Canada Food Guide and the Canada Food Guide for First Nations, Inuit and Métis (if requested)
- Assurance that dietary restrictions including allergies, special requests and / or cultural requirements are met
- Ordering and storage of all food and kitchen supplies.
- Weekly inspection of kitchen equipment.
- Supervision of cleaning of all kitchen and food delivery facilities.
Qualification Requirements
- Recognized training certification including Alberta Health and Safety Standards.
- Four to five years experience in a full-service food service environment
- Class 5 or class 1 Drivers license.
- Ability to work within a clinical environment involving clients and staff.
