The Team Manager, Philanthropic Investments & Stewardship provides leadership and guidance to direct reports, promoting a culture of integration and efficiency. The role oversees philanthropic plans for key donors, foundations and corporations and helps cultivate and renew strategic partnerships with Corporate Community Investment leaders.  Working in collaboration with Marketing, Media & Communications and Community Investment, the Team Manager, Philanthropic Investments & Stewardship ensures Campaign readiness strategies are in place, including compelling materials to promote United Way fundraising priorities and related training.

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Provide leadership to direct reports   
  • Oversight of philanthropic and partnership plans (individual, corporations and foundations supporting Signature Initiatives and other targeted investments)
  • Campaign readiness strategies (Annual Investment Guide and related training)

 

What you bring to the role:

 

  • University Graduate in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in fund raising or similar industry
  • Proven experience in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility would be considered an asset
  • Problem solving and strategic thinking with a love of helping people
  • Outstanding project management skills, ability to work cross functionally and outside the organization, and have a track record of achieving the results expected
  • Highly skilled in planning and organization, strategic planning and implementation, ability to lead through change
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence and coach with an innovative outlook and open to change
  • Highly effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with exceptional speaking, presentation, and coaching skills
  • Team building skills (coaching, collaborating, facilitation, conflict resolution) and a desire to build and grow a high performing team
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong sense of urgency to ensure every donor has a great experience with United Way
