Position Type:  Full Time (one year maternity leave coverage)

Position Summary:

Pathways Community Services Association is an Indigenous agency that draws jointly from the strengths and guidance of Indigenous teachings and traditions and from evidence-based practices in human services to support vulnerable children, youth and families.  

Pathways Cultural Team is looking to fill the role of an Indigenous Cultural Connector. This person will work in a team environment, contribute to healing and wellness, support land-based learning, and provide program development and delivery.


  • Set up facilities for programs
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to youth
  • Assist Elders with various requests
  • Provide transportation
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends
  • Some physical labour - working outdoors
  • Helping with ceremony and programs in the outdoor environment
  • Gathering and compiling resources for ceremony

Skills and experiences:  

  • Post-secondary education and combined experience
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities
  • Cultural knowledge  
  • Experience working with vulnerable children and families involving community development and initiatives
  • Strong teamwork  
  • Organization
  • Adaptable
  • A reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
