Youth & Children Team Lead

Title:                     Youth & Children Team Lead

Terms:                  Full time/ 40 hours per week (Some evenings & Weekends)


  • To provide leadership and coordination of year long activities involving education, community and individual development for 300+refugee and immigrant children and youth.
  • To coordinate the efforts of a team of professionals with diverse skill sets to facilitate the integration and settlement of refugee and immigrant children and youth.
  • To provide coaching, mentoring, training, supervision etc. to program staff on a regular basis to ensure the highest of quality in program design and delivery.
  • To engage and facilitate networking with community resources to build new and maintain existing relationships.
  • Maintain a solid database of clients and services to facilitate weekly, monthly and annual reports on clients served and services delivered.
  • Identify gaps in service needs and prepare solutions/proposals to fill the gaps.
  • Provides case management services/resources to families in need.
  • Identifies and facilitates coordination of service delivery with other related divisions of CCIS.


  • A university degree in Social Work, psychology or any of the social sciences is preferred. A combination of experience of related education may be considered.
  • 3 years experience in a leadership role with demonstrated ability to effectively lead people and develop programs and services.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build relationships with a diverse group of cultural backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated organizational, time management and team building skills.
  • Excellent cultural competency skills and experience working in a multicultural and diverse environment.
  • Competency in utilizing the Microsoft Office applications of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal, written and listening skills in the English language are required.
  • Must be able to present a recent Criminal Records Check and Intervention Records check.
