Temporary Family Coordinator up to November 2014

McMan Calgary is a responsive and innovative partner for building community capacity by supporting over 2300 children, youth, adults and families in a single year. With a continuum of programs that address prevention and intervention, individuals have been successfully empowered to fulfill their potential in the Calgary community.

We are currently seeking someone who has a passion for working with children and youth with disabilities and their families. The Family Coordinator will be responsible for working in conjunction with families and FSCD workers to develop service plans, increase positive parenting skills, and help families to develop the capacity to positively parent their children and include them fully in family and community life. The Family Coordinator will be involved in independent community work with families as well as developing and facilitating group sessions. This position does require evening work.

Minimum Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in Community Rehabilitation and/or Disability Studies. As well, the candidate will demonstrate extensive knowledge of developmental disorders and experience implementing and modeling numerous behavioural and developmental strategies, along with excellent organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work flexible hours which will include some evening work.  


Salary Range:                    $46,350 - $51,500 annually
