POSITION PURPOSE

With a vision of “Together, we will lead the way as agents for action and sustainable change”, Aspen Family and Community Network Society has an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader in the Family Portfolio overseeing the In-Home Family Support Program (including Therapeutic Access).  This role is responsible to support staff development and program development with the goal of promoting family reunification, improving healthy family functioning and enhancing family support networks.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

The responsibilities and accountabilities outlined in this job posting may change as the position evolves along with the growth of the agency.  The key responsibilities and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure day to day operations and service delivery implementation align with contract requirements, portfolio scope of practice and organizational purpose, vision, and values
  • Develop, and deliver client-centered initiatives, programs, and activities supporting community and client needs.
  • Provide consultation and debriefing support for staff, empower creative problem solving and promote collaborative service delivery
  • Ensure staff meet program requirements as identified by Aspen, funders and/or accrediting/regulatory bodies
  • Lead program evaluation and reporting to demonstrate service delivery impacts to funders and the community
  • Ensure the use of outcome measures and the regular collection/entry of data as per funding requirements
  • Contribute strategic thinking, input and content for community engagement, communications and fund development initiatives
  • Promote a culture of engagement, high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement through leadership and modeling Aspen values and behaviors
  • Attract, develop and retain talent to meet service delivery needs
  • Support teams in embracing change while being responsive and adaptive to client and community needs
  • Represent the programs and Aspen on a variety of committees and community tables
  • Establish and maintain community partnerships

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUISITES

This role requires our ideal candidate to possess at the minimum the following:

  • Graduate degree in Human Services Field (equivalencies will be considered)
  • Supervisory and program development experience
  • Experience working with children in care and/or child development background considered an asset
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to analyze and organize large amounts of information
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Professional registration required if applicable
  • Current First Aid/CPR, Police Check (with Vulnerable Sector Search), Intervention Record Check clearances are a requirement prior to commencement
  • Required Training to be completed: Aboriginal, Cultural, Suicide Intervention, and First Aid 

Closing Date:          July 7th, 2018 or until a suitable candidate is found

Starting Salary:      $55,141.20 annually, negotiable depending on the applicant’s                                       qualifications
