Program Supervisor- Parent-Child Assistance Program

Program Supervisor

Parent-Child Assistance Program (P-CAP)/P-CAP Rural

Full time (40 hours per week)

The Program Supervisor is responsible for organizing and coordinating all general aspects of the program (e.g., hiring, evaluations of employees, leadership, supervision of staff, facility management, financial management, monthly and quarterly statistics). The Program Supervisor ensures that program goals and objectives are maintained and developed according to contract guidelines, as well as adhering to McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association’s Philosophy and Service Delivery Framework.  The PCAP supervisor will be expected to be trained in the PCAP model and facilitate this training twice a year. P-CAP/ P-CAP Rural support the development and maintenance of healthy family lives. The voluntary program aids to prevent further births of alcohol/drug exposed children.  P-CAP is accessible to women in Calgary. P-CAP Rural is accessible to women in the communities of Willow Creek, Vulcan and the Municipal District of Foothills. Occasional travel to Edmonton may be required.

The successful candidate has:

  • A degree/diploma in a Human Services field
  • Three years supervisory experience managing a dynamic team utilizing Reflective supervision.
  • Three years’ previous program delivery experience in a similar program environment.
  • The ablity to see the link between the agency’s activities and the funders’ goals and outcomes, and is able to deliver successful outcomes and evidenced based services.
  • A current Police Check and Child Intervention check are also required
  • The ability to hire, train, evaluate, motivate, mentor, coach and develop a successful staff team.
  • A good knowledge of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, substance abuse/addictions, community resources and agencies in the sector.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, program planning experience and administrative abilities are necessary.

Salary Range:   $63,304 to $70,338
