About Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta

Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta is a non-profit organization that brings the community together to help working families enter the housing market. Families purchase their homes at fair market value through Habitat’s affordable mortgage, a no-interest, no-down-payment mortgage where payments do not exceed 25 per cent of their total household income. With the help of sponsors, donors, community partners and volunteers, we also build 20 or more starter homes a year for families to purchase.

Our affordable homeownership program helps families achieve long-lasting strength, stability and independence and provides a solid foundation for better, healthier futures. Since 1990, we have partnered with more than 250 families across southern Alberta, affecting the lives of more than 600 children.

Our ReStore social enterprise re-sells quality donated appliances, furniture and home improvement materials in three locations in Southern Alberta.
