Program Facilitator

Is recruiting an individual for the position of:  Program Facilitator – Mentorship for Integration (part time 20 hours a week)

The Mentorship for Integration program matches immigrant professionals with mentors from the local business community who share a similar professional and educational background. These mentors provide immigrant professionals with support and assistance as they overcome personal challenges and cultural barriers in order to pursue their career goals in Canada. The aim of the program is the advancement of our clients’ integration into the local labour market through personalized mentoring, cultural understanding, and sharing of experience and expertise. Clients will have the advantage of learning about Canadian business culture directly from members of the business community.

Position Description:

The Program Facilitator is responsible for supporting the Program Coordinator by developing business marketing strategies within Calgary business community, recruitment and selection of mentors and mentees. In addition, the Program Facilitator presents and advertises program to local businesses and institutions in order for them to become actively involved in the resettlement and integration of newcomers to Calgary. Program Facilitator, in partnership with members of the local business community, assists foreign-trained professionals in their transition into the Canadian workplace and integration into the community at large.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Identify local businesses and organizations for the presentation of the program.
  • Market to possible employers and organizations immigrant professionals in order so they are matched with community engaged professional in their field.
  • Match immigrant professionals and community engaged professionals.
  • Provides orientation for both mentees and mentors.
  • Provide recommendations to Coordinator regarding growth and development of the program.
  • Present program to Career Bridge Workshops and other immigrant serving agencies in the Calgary community.
  • Initiate and develop promotional activities for the program.
  • Monitor and follow up with mentors and mentees.
  • Submit quarterly and early reports on the number of accomplished matches to the Managers of Business, Employment and Training Services and Host Program.
    • Input data into computerized database, spreadsheets or other templates.
    • Import and / or export data between different kinds of software.





  • University degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Advanced computer knowledge and capability.
  • Advanced marketing and business development strategies.
  • Above average communication and presentation skills.
