Responsibilities and Outcomes:
Deliver Math and Science curriculum to adult participants (Immigrants, indigenous and non-indigenous, Canadian born) in the Pre-Apprenticeship Trades Training program.
- Understand the math and Science material suitable for trade school
- Become familiar with the technical vocabulary of the trade
- Able to pass the pre-apprenticeship exam (cluster 4)
- Understand the culture of the Canadian workplace.
Outcomes:
- 80% of participants will pass the pre-apprenticeship exam.
Qualifications:
Hours:
Approximately 120 daytime hours for 12 weeks. The total instructional time is allocated between three Contract Instructors (Life Skills, Math/Science and English). The program operates 9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Thursday. The schedule has a degree of flexibility when being designed.
