  • Ensure the right people are in the right roles by assisting with recruitment, supervision and performance management of paid and unpaid staff
  • Identifying and managing financial risk
  • Managing the child development portfolio according to established organizational guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Leading through change and grow process


  • Help cultivate new leaders by supporting succession planning and career development
  • Actively engage in the performance management of all staff
  • Have a clear understanding of program funding sources and parameters of financial support
  • Developing and auditing logic models, data collection and reporting accountabilities


  • Minimum undergraduate degree in Human services (Social Work, Child and Youth Care etc.)
  • Have 3-5 years leadership experience
  • Experience managing diverse program areas
  • Subject matter expertise in childcare licensing, accreditation requirements and accountabilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Analytical and decision making skills; thinks strategically and takes initiative
