Overview

Reporting to the Business Development Associate, you will take on the challenge of delivering increased revenue for CPHR Alberta. By applying a thorough understanding of CPHR Alberta’s sponsorship and advertising products, you will develop mutually beneficial relationships with new business partners.

This is a permanent, full-time role located in Calgary, Alberta.

What you will do

  • Collaborate with the Business Development Representative to determine necessary strategic sales approaches, and deliver ongoing sales success
  • Cold-call prospects, respond to inbound traffic, and make outbound follow-up calls to warm leads
  • Support marketing efforts such as tradeshows, networking events, exhibits and other events
  • Present and negotiate rates and campaigns with clients
  • Coordinate campaign deliverables with clients and internal team members
  • Maintain an accurate campaign tracking system with the BD and Marketing teams
  • Log daily sales activity into SalesForce CRM

  • Diploma or degree in Business Administration (or similar), or equivalent experience
  • Team player with strong communication (verbal and written) and listening skills
  • Effective time and resource management skills, with an ability to prioritize immediate customer responses
  • 1-2 years of inside or direct sales experience
  • Knowledge and experience working with SalesForce or another CRM
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience with digital advertising, sponsorship and/or non-profit organizations is an asset
