Human Resources Advisor

Calgary Alternative Support Services (CASS) is a Not-For-Profit Human Service Agency.  We support people with disabilities to escape segregation and discrimination, and to live, work, play and contribute in their communities.  Our work is a combination of advocacy, community development and service to the people of Calgary. 

Our Requirements

We are seeking a Human Resources Advisor who will provide support to our leadership team and staff in all aspects of H.R. including: employee relations, recruitment and selection, onboarding and orientation, compensation, retention and engagement, employee development and performance management, and legislative compliance.   

Your Qualifications

You share our values and commitment to building diverse and inclusive communities.

You have post-secondary education in Human Resource Management, ideally a CPHR designation and 5 years related work experience in a similar type of organization, and have a commitment to continuous improvement.

Your knowledge includes a sound understanding of all aspects of Human Resource practice, and an understanding of payroll.

Your abilities include:

  • building and sustaining strong professional relationships with all employees,
  • building an effective Human Resource function with a high degree of credibility and trust  
  • providing coaching and supporting the growth and development of staff
  • ensuring all Human Resources management activities and processes are consistent with and support achievement of our mission.  

You are a skilled practitioner with the capacity to efficiently and effectively handle the day-to-day Human Resource management services in a busy, dynamic organization. 

Of course, you have good computer and technology skills in Microsoft Suite programs, payroll and information systems.
