Family Coordinator

Milestones Program – Family Coordinator McMan Calgary & Area


We are currently seeking someone who has a passion for working with children and youth with disabilities and their families. The Family Coordinator will be responsible for working in conjunction with families and FSCD workers to develop service plans, increase positive parenting skills, and help families to develop the capacity to positively parent their children and include them fully in family and community life. The Family Coordinator will be involved in independent community work with families as well as developing and facilitating group sessions. This position does require evening work.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a degree or diploma in Community Rehabilitation and/or Disability Studies.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of developmental disorders and experience implementing and modeling   numerous behavioural and developmental strategies. 
  • Possess excellent organizational skills.
  • Be able to work flexible hours that will include evenings and
  • Work well within a team environment as well as independently.
  • The idea candidate will also possess capabilities in working with families who have experienced trauma, working with Child and Family Services and/or assisting families in meeting basic needs such as housing, food, safety etc.

McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association of Calgary & Area delivers more than 20 programs that evoke positive changes and improve the quality of our community.
