Director of Clinical Services

The CanLearn Society is a leader in services for learning and attention difficulties and an innovator in literacy programming. Our team consists of psychologists, learning and literacy specialists, pediatricians and early childhood educators. We are a registered charity and have provided services to Calgary and area for 39 years.

Come help us to change lives through learning! Are you interested in a clinical role that involves the delivery of assessment and intervention services for clients as well as leadership of our clinical team?

We are currently looking for a Director of Clinical Services; this is a full-time position starting September 1, 2018. This is a salary position that is eligible for benefits. The Director of Clinical Services reports to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Direct Provision of Services to Clients

  • Participate as a member of our multidisciplinary team of psychologists, educators and pediatricians. 
  • Provide assessment and intervention services for children and adults experiencing learning and/or attention difficulties

 

Management and Development of Clinical Services

  • Clinical Supervision and leading HR for the clinical services team
  • Leadership, part of the Management Team
  • Liaising with staff involved in programs/intervention/professional development
  • Budget development and monitoring
  • Fund development and proposals
  • Evaluation of assessment service
  • Representing CanLearn in the community

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree preferred
  • Registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) (minimum of five years)
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Previous experience working with children and/or adults with learning and attention difficulties
  • Proficiency in psychological assessment and training in psychometric assessment, i.e., practica, coursework
  • Excellent track record in working in a team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
