Community Outreach and Communications Coordinator

This is a full-time position requiring 30 hours per week

Job Description and duties:

  • Regular liaising between organization and community partners, the press and the media
  • Coordinate AHF programs and projects, including but not limited to events, fundraisers, conferences and workshops
  • Uphold the values and interests of the AHF and carry out the organization’s strategic objectives
  • Management and creation of content for AHF emails, social media accounts, newsletters, advertisements and other promotional and communication materials; monitoring of online traffic
  • Development of marketing strategies, annual budget, demographics reports
  • Initiation and organization of monthly board meetings, which includes preparing venue, invitations, preparation of agenda and minutes and collection of reports from subcommittees all prior to meeting
  • Attendance and coverage (on social media platforms) of AHF and AHF partnered events
  • Supervision of volunteers
  • Other duties related to community outreach and communications
