PURPOSE OF POSITION:  This position is responsible for providing direct services (including menu development & food prep with the women’s participation, recreational activities, and supportive case management related activities in a residential setting for women (16 years and over), who are in immediate need for stabilization and recovery from sexual exploitation and addiction.  This position is responsible for ensuring the safety of all program Participants and ensuring that women are offered a range of service support to facilitate their healing and recovery.  With support from the team, including the Program Manager, this position helps to ensure all women are welcomed into the RESET community and transitioned well into the subsequent RESET services and housing.  This position is responsible for mediating/addressing any conflict which may arise between residents in the i-EXIT Program, including any conflict arising with other staff.

 This position is responsible for keeping the Program Manager informed at all times of any crisis or potentially dangerous/concerning situations.

REPORTS TO:  Program Manager


  • Minimum CSW certificate, medication administration certificate with 1-2 years of related experience.  NOTE: Individuals with social work education must be registered with their appropriate professional regulating body.
  • First aid & CPR, Child welfare check, criminal record check, clean driving record, knowledge of 12 step program.
  • Thorough knowledge of short and long term impact of trauma and addiction.
  • Knowledge and understanding of prevention & recovery from sexual exploitation for women and girls
  • Demonstrated competencies in leadership, group facilitation, mediation and conflict resolution
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, including ability to facilitate a team approach to decision making


Program Supervision & Leadership

  • Demonstrates ability to problem solve and make effective decisions always in the best interest of the participants.
  • Has ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Handles stress and pressure well – pays attention to self-care and continuous development
  • Skilled facilitation of supportive, recovery-oriented groups
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrates organization, confidentiality and skill in documenting client related information

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conducts well informed, clear shift changes with other staff including verbal updates, reading case notes and staff communication book at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Ensures all case notes are completed and up to date before leaving at shift end
  • Supervises the safe storage and use of prescribed medications the women may require
  • Assist women with appointments – Medical, SFI, Child Welfare etc. and advocates for women to receive the best, most appropriate treatment and care
  • Attend relevant training & development work shops
  • Facilitate in-house groups/workshops for women
  • Ensures the safe operation and maintenance of the program van and other equipment used in programming
  • Transports women to appointments
  • Attend AA & NA meetings to support women
  • Supervise and assist with menu development and meal preparation
  • Supervise and assist with household chores, including household laundry and room “turnover” (cleaning and prep for the next resident)
  • Other duties as required
