Calgary Catholic Immigration Society (CCIS) is a non-profit organization that provides settlement and integration services to all immigrants and refugees in Calgary and Southern Alberta. With over 35 years of solid community experience, 70 active programs, and comprehensive wraparound support, CCIS ensures that our services respond to the needs of ethnically diverse communities within Calgary and area.

Our Cross-Cultural Children’s Centre (CCCC) is seeking to fill two full time positions:


1 Child Development Supervisor and 1 Child Development Worker


Functional Statement:

Reporting to the Program Coordinator, these positions are responsible for the day to day operation of the Cross-Cultural Children’s Centre. Both positions will cover the evening shift which is 3:00pm – 9:00pm, Monday to Friday. Successful candidates must be able to lead and supervise the children in a safe and positive play environment and implement a variety of daily activities in a developmentally appropriate manner.



  • Develop, implement and evaluate the weekly program plan
  • Facilitate language, social, cognitive, emotional, creative, and physical development of the children (Program Planning will include all developmental areas)
  • Be aware of and commit to Child Care Licensing and Regulations, and Best Practices in Child Care
  • Work as a member of the team, partnering with colleagues and participating in planning and other meetings
  • Form Collaborative partnerships with families
  • Assist in maintaining the health, safety and well being of the children and the facility
  • Develop and maintain a safe environment
  • Implement/follow established security procedures
  • Actively supervise the children
  • Meet the nutritional needs of the children



  • Certification as a Child Development Supervisor or Child Development Worker (formerly level 2 or 3)
  • Valid CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
  • Current Police Security Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Check
