United Way of Calgary and Area is the largest non-government source of funding for human care and community support programs in the Calgary region. United Way of Calgary and Area is looking for a full-time Campaign Manager, Campaign Engagement. Reporting to the Team Manager, Campaign and working closely with volunteers, workplaces, agencies and United Way employees, the Campaign Manager is responsible to plan, organize and implement workplace campaigns within assigned division as well as liaise with partner agencies to build Campaign Engagement projects and offerings through our Day of Caring™ program.  The primary areas of focus for the Campaign Manager are to increase campaign revenues and increase the visibility of United Way of Calgary and Area through engagement offerings.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Proactively communicate Campaign Engagement activities to agencies, workplaces, and United Way staff.
  • Assist agency partners in determining potential Campaign Engagement projects.
  • Consult with campaign staff and workplaces to develop Campaign Engagement plans for employees.
  • Develop and coordinate high level Day of Caring™ and collection drive projects.
  • Think creatively and strategically to maintain and develop campaigns in assigned accounts.
  • Facilitate Campaign Engagement activities to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track and respond to resolve issues from team and workplace campaigns.
  • Manage assigned Campaign Associates by providing support, motivation, problem solving and assessment of performance.
  • Support the training of campaign personnel as required.
  • Develop, in conjunction with volunteers, financial and non-financial goals for assigned accounts, in keeping with overall campaign objectives.
  • Identify and address prospecting for assigned division.
  • Manage, coach and monitor progress and results for all assigned accounts.
  • Manage and update the database in a consistent, accurate and timely manner.
  • Provide data for reports as required.
  • Ensure that all workplaces, volunteers and agencies receive appropriate recognition.


Experience and Skills:


  • Well organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and database experience
  • Proven track record in successfully managing numerous, complex and rapidly changing priorities
  • Outstanding communication abilities, both verbal and written
  • Disciplined, independent work practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to integrate and work effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent problem solving skills and strong proactive approach
  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in fund development.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working with the non-profit sector and volunteers.
  • Experience in event or project management is an asset.
