Program Supervisor (Before and After School Care)

KidZinc is seeking a Program Supervisor who is an enthusiastic, reliable, and engaged child care professional. This is a full time position (40 hours/week). Must be available to work split shifts. This is a maternity-leave coverage position ending June 30, 2019, with the potential to transition into a permanent position based on organizational needs and job performance.

A Program Supervisor is responsible for day to day operations of their designated program centre. This includes coordinating program planning, child supervision, communication with parents, and supervision of staff. In addition, the Program Supervisor is responsible for maintaining licensing regulations and accreditation standards. Their primary role is to work as part of the KidZinc team to ensure program goals and scheduled activities are carried out in a safe, consistent, and responsible manner in order to provide a positive social and recreational experience for the children. 

 

Qualifications: 

1) Current First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain 

2) Valid Police Security Clearance with Vulnerable Sector Search 

3) Minimum Child Development Worker certification 

4) Class 4 or 2 Alberta Drivers License or willingness to obtain 

5) Minimum of one year experience working in a licensed child care program 

6) Minimum of one year experience working in a supervisory or management position
